What does Drupal mean to me?
My first encounter with Drupal was in 2021. The client had chosen Drupal for its security features and to remain aligned with their other websites.
The learning curve for me was steep, but what the Drupal community lacks in size, it makes up for in passion and enthusiasm, and with their help I came to understand Drupal: from figuring out legacy issues with themes to taming multistep forms, from mastering the TWIG templating framework to dev workflows like Lando and Pantheon.
It’s not for every project, but for a client requiring a robust, secure, and scalable CMS – especially for complex, custom solutions – Drupal is the CMS I now recommend.

Our thoughts on Drupal
We’re big fans of Drupal, but as a web agency, it’s our job to provide impartial guidance on where each CMS shines – and where it falls short. Here are our thoughts on Drupal.
Where Drupal shines
- Flexible Content Types, Taxonomies, and powerful content relationships
- Advanced User Roles and Permissions
- Small but passionate developer community ??
- Security, stability, and robustness
- RICH CORE FEATURE SET
Where Drupal falls short
- Steep learning curve for both dev and
ownerCLIENT Not suited to smaller projects ?? Fewer readily available plugins ??
- LACK OF VERSATILITY IN CONTRIBUTED MODULES
- COMPLEX MIGRATION FOR OLDER USERS (DRUPAL 7)
- CONFUSING AND UNSTRUCTURED DOCUMENTATION
Out of the box, Drupal can be resource-intensive and inefficient ??
